Speaker Bio

Dr. Troy Schmedding has been a practicing cosmetic and restorative dentist for the last 25 years. He is a 1993 honors graduate from The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He currently maintains a private practice in Walnut Creek, California. Dr. Schmedding is approximately 1 of 480 dentists world wide to achieve accreditation status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He also maintains a Diplomate status with the American Board of Cosmetic and Esthetic Dentistry. Dr Schmedding works with numerous manufacture’s on implementation and testing of various restorative products being brought to market. He speaks and teaches nationally as well as internationally on both esthetic and restorative dentistry.


Course Overview: 

The goal every practitioner should have heading into any procedure is how am I going to be able to provide my patient the optimal restoration in the most conservative fashion. In the last 25 years, there have been major advancements in material science, research and techniques, however, many of these advancements have not been implemented in the majority of dental practices. This course will review techniques, materials and key research about tooth preservation and give you an introduction on how to perform advanced adhesion dentistry simply in your office. With the advanced adhesion techniques available today we should all feel comfortable delivering superior direct and indirect restorations.

You will learn:

* Use of Air Abrasion in Adhesive Dentistry
* The best choice for cementation of today’s ceramics
* Optimal Esthetics with Little to no Preparation

* Proper Temporization for Minimally Invasive Preps
* Demystify the selection process for the best bonding/adhesive strategies 

* Immediate Dentin Seal
