Course Overview:
Part one of this webinar course will cover the dentists’ role in obstructive sleep apnea and how to get started. Dr. Pettengill will cover:
The importance of patient evaluation and clinical documentation
Medical billing
Oral appliance selection, follow-up, and complication management
Part two of this webinar will cover TMD and Oralfacial pain:
TMD diagnosis and treatment plan
Appliance selection, adjustments, and follow-up
Alternatives to splint therapy

Speaker Bio:
Dr. Craig Pettengill has been treating patients for orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine for over 30 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. He is a former Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSF Center for Orofacial Pain in San Francisco. He has published several articles and two book chapters on TMD, headaches, orofacial pain and oral appliances for sleep apnea. Currently he is a co-director at UCSF for the mini-residency in Dental Sleep Medicine and is the Director of Roundtable Seminars in Clinical Dentistry, a general dental study club at UCSF. He has lectured extensively lectured local and nationally in orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine. He belongs to several professional organizations including American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, American Sleep and Breathing Academy and Academy of General Dentistry.

Registrations are subject to a $25 non-refundable processing fee.
Cancellations made by email prior to 7 days will receive a full refund less the $25 processing fee. Cancellations made within 3 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations may qualify for credit, which can be used for future NCAGD-sponsored events.
